In the Recovery Room
After the operation you will be wheeled into the recovery room where you will be cared for by nurses. If you have had sedation you will wake up at this time.
Nurses will check your blood pressure and blood loss. You may also feel some cramping – similar to period pain. You will remain in the recovery room until you are ready to walk unassisted into the lounge recovery area. How long you remain in recovery is different for each individual, but is usually about 20 minutes.
