Welcome

The Pregnancy Advisory Centre was established by the South Australian Health Commission in 1992 to provide services, on a statewide basis, for women with unplanned pregnancy. The Centre is part of the Central Northern Adelaide Health Service.

An unplanned pregnancy can be a distressing and confusing experience. The Centre is here to support you.

Societal attitude towards abortion is an inevitable and profound influence on women’s experience of abortion. Abortion services have a responsibility to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment to counter this often negative influence. The Centre aims to contribute to the abortion experience being a positive one for women and will do this by affirming women’s rights, experience and feelings.

This web site provides information about how the service can help women, and includes links to other sites that may also be helpful.
