Continuing pregnancy/Adoption resources

Choosing to become a parent, or to have another child is often a complex decision whether the pregnancy was planned or not. Some people are able to incorporate an unplanned pregnancy into their lives but there are many issues that you may consider when thinking about becoming a parent.  These may include:

  • the level of parenting support from the man involved in the pregnancy
  • other support from parents, family and friends
  • existing relationship issues and family circumstances
  • your physical and mental health during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond
  • the use of drugs and alcohol during pregnancy
  • financial security and employment issues
  • child care and looking after a baby
  • domestic violence.

Below are some resources and links to other services/information may help you if you have made a decision to continue the pregnancy or if you are seeking information to help you/your partner make a decision about whether or not to continue the pregnancy.
