Admission

AdmissionWhen you phone the Pregnancy Advisory Centre you will be given the most appropriate appointment to meet your needs.

Services are provided over 2 appointments. The first is a clinic consultation where information about the procedure will be given. A second appointment for the abortion procedure will be made during the consultation.

If you have travelled from a rural location & have been given an appointment for the abortion on the same day as the clinic consultation, you will need to fast before the operation, regardless of anaesthetic choice.

If you have chosen to undertake an abortion using medications you will be given an appropriate appointment for this.

On arrival at reception, you will be asked to fill out some information about yourself, and to include details of your health history and the pregnancy.

There are two parts to the service: the clinic consultation; and, the abortion procedure.
